We had a wonderful last evening in the desert of Catavina, about 300 miles from the border. A short scramble into the desert got us to a cave whose ceiling was completely covered by geometric cave paintings. Really a good stop!
We're now about to eat blueberry pancakes with Uncle Chris and his family. Then on to LA and the baby twins.
You are having such a terrific adventure. I love the cactus.
ReplyDeleteLet me know that you got my message that Brenda will not be home this week after all. Thanks.
That's a big cactus.
ReplyDeleteWe got your message about Brenda. Where did you get the maple syrup from? Do you tap your own maple trees?
ReplyDeleteNo, we don't tap our own trees. Not sure if we have sugar maples. We drove a long way south of here. Years ago, our 'spring hike' was in this area. South of Letchworth Park, Dalton is a small village that we went through. We drove down there in almost 2 hrs., through some small villages, and very pretty farm land. Took us a little over an hour to come home.
